Our college was founded with a profound vision: to bridge the educational divide and provide the students of eastern Ahmedabad with a gateway to excellence in higher education. From our humble beginnings with just 45 students to our current stature as a thriving institution serving over 2,000 learners, our journey has been one of relentless dedication and progress. This journey was sanctified when the foundation stone for our present building was laid by Shri Narendra Modi, our Honourable Prime Minister, then the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
At SKKSGCC, we are committed to a singular focus: the growth and development of our students. Our primary aim is to provide a locally revered and nationally recognized education in the field of commerce. About Us: A Legacy of Empowerment and Excellence
Our History
Established on September 6, 2005, by the Government of Gujarat, Shri K.K. Shastri Government Commerce College was born from a noble objective: to make quality higher education accessible to the students of Ahmedabad’s eastern region, an area that had historically lagged in developmental opportunities. The college began its journey in the modest premises of Ramkrishna Krishna Vidyalaya in Maninagar, with a pioneering batch of 45 students and a few dedicated faculty members deputed from other government colleges.
Recognizing the need for a permanent home to realize its expansive vision, the college was soon relocated to its present site at the former Bihari Mill Compound in Khokhra. In the academic year 2005-06, the college received its affiliation from Gujarat University and was formally named in honor of Padma Shri Dr. Keshavram Kashiram Shastri, an eminent scholar of Sanskrit, Gujarati, Hindi, and English, whose life and work embody the pursuit of knowledge we strive to emulate.

Eligibility Criteria
- B.Com: Candidates must have successfully completed their Higher Secondary (10+2) examination from a recognized board, preferably with a background in the commerce stream.
- M.Com: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a B.Com or equivalent, from a recognized university.
Admission Process
Admission to both B.Com and M.Com programs is granted based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.
